As in the times of COVID-19 traveling and entering Japan is very difficult anyway, I'm wondering if it is possible to establish a "remote internship" with the applicant working at his own home office, and we make ZOOM or TEAMS conferences for briefing and assignments. As everyone is quite accustomed to the home office idea anyway, this should be an acceptable form.
We have already practical experience in this respect, as an intern from Canada worked on financial models for our renewable energy projects in the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, and North Africa. Apart from the time difference, this worked very well.
We have international projects in the renewable energy realm (biomass to renewable, carbon-neutral fuel for the maritime and aviation industry) and can offer very exciting topics to work on.
Though this is not the requirement, some knowledge about renewable energy different from wind and photovoltaic would be handy. Know-how in the fields of lifecycle assessment (LCA), carbon credits and certification, would be a real bonus.
We have no special requirements in this respect but would appreciate high social and environmental consciousness. Our projects have a high potential for improving the livelihood of poor farmers in developing and threshold countries and can render the aviation and maritime industries carbon-neutral.
No financial support, but the recommendation
